Applications are invited for the position of Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (cANP) Parkinsons Movement Disorder within St. Vincent's University Hospital.

Overview: 

The successful candidate will work within the Movement Disorders team specialising in Parkinson’s Disease, Parkinson Plus syndromes and Dystonia. They will work in collaboration with consultant colleagues from the department of Neurology as well as Medicine for the Elderly along with an existing Parkinson’s Disease cANP. They will provide advice, education and clinical management for people presenting with Parkinson’s Disease, Multi System Atrophy, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Dystonia. They will do this by attending out-patient clinics and ward-based reviews as well as being the direct point of contact to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals affected by these conditions under the care of SVUH. They will gain experience and competence in the injection of Botulinum Toxin for symptomatic management of Cervical Dystonia attending a dedicated clinic every week.
