Applications are invited for the permanent position of Senior Physiotherapist in Cystic Fibrosis in St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Role Summary:
This is a specific post, prioritized by St Vincent’s University Hospital, the National Clinical Programme for Cystic Fibrosis and the HSE. The post is dedicated to the care of adults with Cystic Fibrosis. The successful candidate will provide a professional Physiotherapy service to the patients attending the National Referral Centre for Adult Cystic Fibrosis at St Vincent’s University Hospital.
The holder of this post will work with the Cystic Fibrosis Physiotherapy team, the Cystic Fibrosis Multidisciplinary team, and the wider physiotherapy team to provide an effective physiotherapy service to in-patient and outpatient adults with Cystic Fibrosis. Treatment is provided on a one to one basis in out-patient clinics, the Cystic Fibrosis Day Care Unit and on in-patient wards. Continuous professional development, peer education, research, audit and service enhancement through performance management are key components of the position. Strong interdisciplinary links exist between all members of the Cystic Fibrosis team, assuring a high level of care for the patient and promoting great job satisfaction.
