Applications are invited for the position of Medical Scientist in the Microbiology Department of St. Vincent's University Hospital.

Purpose of the post:

The post holder, in co-operation with the Chief Medical Scientist and the Consultant Head of Department will:

Work as part of a team in the provision of a microbiology service for St. Vincent’s University Hospital and its associated institutions and general practitioners in accordance with departmental policy.

Participate in the implementation and maintenance of a quality management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 15189 accreditation standards.

Co-operate with the Chief Medical Scientist and with other senior personnel in training staff as required.
