Description
Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – Pancreas and HPB (St. Luke's 2 Ward) in the Nursing Directorate of St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
St. Luke's 2 Ward: This is a 23 bedded surgical area for pancreatic and hepatobiliary disease. It is the National Centre for
Pancreatic Cancer. Patients with pancreatitis, cholecystitis, liver, pancreatic and cholangio carcinoma are treated and cared for on St. Luke’s 2. Pre and post-operative care is provided for the many surgeries including cholecystectomy, liver resection and pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whipples Procedure) and bariatric surgery. The ward recently won an award in the HSE innovation for developing a protocol for bedside insertion of NJ tubes which are nurse led.
