Applications are invited for the post of Fellowship in Robotic Urology with Surgical Simulation Teaching (RCSI) at St Vincent's University Hospital Dublin
This one-year fellowship is designed for urology trainees who have completed their training in Ireland. Awarded through the ASPIRE Fellowship, this program provides advanced training in robotic urology and surgical simulation. Fellows will work in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), teaching surgical trainees in the simulation lab one day per week.
The fellowship includes comprehensive exposure to robotic surgery across all aspects of robotic urology, with ERUS (European Robotic Urology Society) certification awarded through the European Association of Urology (EAU). Fellows will undergo rigorous, structured training that includes hands-on surgery, dry/wet labs, and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Robotic urology surgery (multiple days/week)
- Weekend on-call rota in urology
- One day/week teaching in the RCSI surgical simulation lab
Eligibility: Completion of urology training in Ireland and selection through the ASPIRE fellowship program.
