Description
Applications are invited for the permanent position of Senior Occupational Therapist – Infectious Diseases and Long COVID Outpatients within St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Role Summary: The Occupational Therapy Department’s Medicine team is involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of medical patients. In addition, we are developing occupational therapy services within the Department of Infectious Diseases. The current occupational therapy service is primarily an inpatient service, delivered by ward based occupational therapists working as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT). This is a new post and St. Vincent’s University Hospital has been designated as one of six sites nationally to establish a Long COVID Service. The occupational therapist will work with the MDT to develop this long COVID service and to establish other occupational therapy services to meet the needs of infectious disease inpatients. This will include the management and rehabilitation of patients with chronic infections including those recovering from acute infections. You will be joining a dynamic team with great opportunities for new and collaborative research.
Panel: A panel may be formed to fill upcoming permanenttemporary, part-time and whole-time vacancies over the next 6 months.
