Description
Applications are invited for the permanent position of Senior Biochemist in the Clinical Chemistry Department of St Vincent's University Hospital.
Overview: The post holder will assist the Consultant Chemical Pathologist/Head of Department and Chief Medical Scientist in providing a comprehensive clinical biochemistry service. They will be required to manage junior staff as well as deliver a broad range of specialised and routine scientific work requiring a high level of responsibility. There may be an enhanced role in the areas such as oversight of Internal Quality Control; the selection, evaluation and dispatching of samples to referral laboratories; or assist with managing the Quality Management Systems in conjunction with the Laboratory Management Team. Leadership in troubleshooting and problem solving will be a requirement of this post.
