Description
Applications are invited for the temporay position of CNM2 – Student Allocations Liaison Officer (0.5 WTE).
The primary focus of the role is;
• The Student Allocations Liaison Officer (SALO) plays a pivotal role in the coordination and management of pre-registration student nurse placements.
• The SALO allocates pre-registration student nurses to clinical placements in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Requirements and Standards for Nurse Registration Education Programme.
• The SALO is responsible for promoting a positive clinical learning environment, guiding and supporting student nurses by assigned clinical area placements with regard to planned experiences and outcomes for the undergraduate BSc in Nursing programmes.
• The SALO encourages the application of nursing theory to nursing practice and participate in introducing changes in practice/projects that will improve patient care and staff/student learning
• The SALO facilitates communication across Nursing Practice Development, the organisation and outside agencies.
