Description
Applications are invited for the permanent position of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – Emergency Department in the Nursing Directorate of St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Purpose of the post: The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) will support the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in the total management of the Ward/Unit and deputise in his/her absence. To provide direct comprehensive nursing care to patients using evidence-based practice and adjusting resources to ensure continuity of care. The Emergency Department provides 24-hour -7 days a week medical and nursing emergency care to the HSE East coast area. The department treats approximately 52,000 patients each year. Nurses who work in this area gain a vast and varied experience of acute emergency care. Registered nurses may enrol on the Level 8 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in Emergency Nursing and may proceed to a Level 9 Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing.
