Description
Applications are invited for Permanent and Temporary positions of Grade IV Officer in the Emergency Department of St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Role Summary: The Grade IV Officer will be part of the administration team based in the Emergency Department.
The successful candidate must be available to work a daytime roster over 7 days, typically from 8am to 8pm including public holidays, and will be based in the ED reception and treatment areas. The shift pattern is subject to change based on service requirements but is typically four on / four off. Additional premium payments may apply depending on duty roster worked.
Flexibility is therefore a key requirement.
The successful candidate will have a high level of flexibility, efficiency and co-ordination and will deliver a courteous and efficient service to patients, their relatives and other service users.
It is important to note that the needs of this department may vary due to the nature of the service. Hours of work are subject to change to ensure service needs are met. The successful candidate must be willing to occasionally change hours of duty in line with service requirements.Flexibility is therefore a key requirement.
A panel may be formed to fill temporary vacancies over the next 6 months.
