Applications are invited for the position of Senior PET Radiopharmaceutical Scientist in the Medical Physics Department of St. Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH), Dublin, Ireland.
SVUH is one of the largest academic teaching hospital in Ireland and part of St. Vincent’s Healthcare Group. Our Emergency Department (ED) is the major referral centre for the region for patients with strokes and major trauma. We are home to a number of national centres including the National Centre for Cystic Fibrosis, National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP), National Liver Transplant and National Pancreas Transplant Programmes.
Role Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day provision of a comprehensive clinical PET Radiopharmacy service. The work of Radiopharmacy includes the dispensing and quality control of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. The Senior PET Radiopharmaceutical Scientist is required to work to extremely high standards of accuracy and safety, at times working alone. The post-holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a Radiopharmacy Quality Management System working closely with Radiologists, Medical Physicists and Radiographer colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Radiopharmacy service.
